Meet Kat

Kat is a compassionate and down to Earth massage therapist. She has a calm demeanour that allows clients to feel comfortable to relax and let go while receiving treatment. She loves to learn and is constantly on the hunt for holistic ways to heal the body and to reach optimal health.

When working with a client her approach is to address their specific needs while bringing their body back into a more balanced state. Her goal is to get to the root of the issue and support the body’s Innate self healing capabilities.

Before Massage Therapy, Kat worked as a yoga instructor and has over 500 hours in training. She still takes workshops and trainings and continues to expand her knowledge of yoga and meditation. She uses a lot of the stretches from yoga to give to her clients to do at home.

Most recently, Kat has been trained in level 1 Reiki; a form of energy healing that removes energetic blockages in the body and brings it back into a harmonious state where energy flows freely. She enjoys combing Reiki with massage therapy.

Outside of work Kat is a musician and singer/songwriter. She also loves painting, cooking, spending time with friends and family, being in nature, dancing and doing yoga!

I graduated from the International Academy of Massage in 2014 with honours and the award for Excellence in Clinical Technique. I continue to strive for clinical excellence in my day to day practice of massage therapy, offering customized treatment suited to your needs, whether it be injury recovery, chronic pain management or stress relief.

I use a variety of techniques including Swedish massage, myofacial release, trigger point therapy, stretching and hydrotherapy. As well, I am specially trained in Thai Yoga massage and hot stone massage.
